The Eyelash Viper Systematics Project began in 2012 with a simple goal: to prove that some populations of Bothriechis schlegelii in Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru are valid and endemic species at risk of becoming extinct. Today, we are just months away from reaching this goal, but we need your support to complete the last three steps:
1. Complete the last remaining expeditions to Ecuador and Colombia by December 2022
2. Generate DNA sequence data for the last “mystery” populations
3. Cover the fees to publish our research
