NFT collection: Bitcoin Poison Frogs

Khamai Foundation is accepting crypto donations to support the Pitalala Reserve fundraiser, and specifically the purchase of a 14-ha land lot to protect a unique Amazonian Poison Frog population. What is an NFT?

An NFT, or Non-Fungible Token, is a digital asset that represents ownership or proof of authenticity of a unique item using blockchain technology. Each NFT has a distinct value and specific characteristics that make it different from any other token.

NFTs are typically created, bought, and sold on blockchain platforms, such as Ethereum. The blockchain provides a transparent and immutable ledger that records ownership and transaction history.

NFTs have gained significant attention in the worlds of art, entertainment, and collectibles, as they offer a way to monetize and trade digital assets and provide a novel method of proving ownership and authenticity in the digital age.

How to buy an NFT?

1. Set up a cryptocurrency wallet, such as MetaMask or Coinbase Wallet.

2. Acquire cryptocurrency from an exchange such as Coinbase, Binance, or Kraken.

3. Connect your wallet to the OpenSea NFT marketplace.

4. Place a bid or buy directly.

5. Confirm the transaction.

Can I donate with USD?

Species you’ll support

By claiming a “Bitcoin Poison Frog” NFT, you will be helping Khamai Foundation purchase a 14-hectare land lot to protect the habitat of the actual poison frog on which the entire collection is based: the Amazonian Poison-Frog (Ranitomeya ventrimaculata). This rainforest land lot is under immediate threat of being destroyed to make room for an open-pit gold mining operation. With your help, Khamai Foundation can stop the devastation of an entire poison frog population by purchasing the land before the miners do. We have exactly one month to complete the fundraiser.
